Debbie serves as an equity consultant, facilitator, and mentor. She provides services to the West region through online and in-person formats.
Work Highlights Debbie has worked with governing bodies of an organization and individuals in a formal leadership role. She has served and partnered with various populations, including Hispanic or LatinX, Middle Eastern or North African, White/Caucasian, Black/African American, and LGBTQIA2S+.
Professional Summary Debbie Albert, BSN, PhD, IBCLC has been a lifelong supporter of diversity and Inclusion. During her college days, she was active in Peer Counseling support and the Gay/Lesbian coalition. She has been involved in diversity and inclusion committees in every hospital in which she has worked. As a Board Member of both the Sacramento and California Breastfeeding Coalition, she has championed diversity initiatives and has testified at the California State Capitol for fair labor laws for all families. Debbie mentored the African American Lactation Counselors and Consultants in the Sacramento County region. Debbie has also served on ILCA's Equity Committee and is a founding board member for the African American Subcommittee of the Sacramento Breastfeeding Coalition.
