Lonias serves as an equity consultant, facilitator, and trainer. She provides services to the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Midwest regions through online, in-person, and hybrid formats.
Education & Credentials
She has completed ‘Eliminating Racism & Creating/Celebrating Equity’ (ERACCE) Training in 2019, ‘BUILD Equity Leaders Action Network Fellowship’ BUILD Initiative from 2015-2018, and ‘Health Equity and Social Justice Workshop’ Ingham County Health Department in 2012.
Lonias has worked with governing bodies of an organization, individuals in a formal leadership role, individuals who oversee operations of teams, and staff/key personnel or volunteers within an organization. She has served and partnered with various populations, including Asian or Asian American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Hispanic or LatinX, Middle Eastern or North African, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, White/Caucasian, Black/African American, Immigrants, and LGBTQIA2S+.
Lonias has ten years of experience building partnerships to improve public health and leading policy, systems, and environmental change do advance health and racial equity. She helps identify and encourage the use of existing and customized tools to pay critical attention to racism and other root causes of inequities to co-create solutions. She is passionate about training and group facilitation as a capacity building strategy, and has recently focused on equity-in-all-policies, which integrates equity, determinants of health, and well-being into policy development/implementation and funding decisions.
