Monica serves as an equity mentor and facilitator with a focus on operationalizing DEI in her community and partner organizations. She provides services to the Southwest regions through online, in-person, and hybrid formats.
Education & Credentials She has completed many anti-racism trainings and workshops, and is a part of the Health Connect One Birth Equity Leadership Academy, NM Birth Equity Collaborative, and NM Women of Color in the Non-Profit Cohort.

Professional Summary As a member of her community, Monica uses every platform and opportunity to discuss, acknowledge the need for change and develop systems to address diversity, equity and inclusion. She uses her lived experience and the 10 years in serving her community as a Peer Counselor as a framework to focus her knowledge and expertise and share, discuss and engage in conversation theater it be in advisory groups, board meetings, or other venues.
