She has served and partnered with various populations, including Hispanic or LatinX, White/Caucasian, Black/African American, immigrants, LGBTQIA2S+, low SES communities, and individuals with mental health concerns.
Professional Summary Virginia is an educator and nurse with has years of experience working with diverse communities and at-risk populations. She teaches programs in Health Safety and Wellness. When she optimizes diversity and equity concepts is within her presentations, she uses her classes as a platform to educate and highlight areas where I see implicit bias. When she teaches about reproductive awareness, she empowers black women to use this knowledge to advocate for themselves while attempting to access health care for them and their families. In addition, she also engages others to understand how all playing fields are not equal and many indicators must be evaluated in developing and providing proper care for all populations.
