Vera serves as an equity consultant, coach, evaluator, speaker, and trainer. She provides services to the Southwest region through online, in-person, and hybrid formats.
Education & Credentials Vera has completed training on education in health issues and Women Supporting Peace courses.
Work Highlights She has worked with governing bodies of organizations, individuals in a formal leadership role, individuals who oversee operations of teams, staff/key personnel or volunteers within and organization, and mothers/families of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. She has served and partnered with various populations, including Asian or Asian American, Hispanic or LatinX, White/Caucasian, and immigrants.
Professional Summary Following her medical training, Vera got involved in equity-based motherhood and breastfeeding topics. Vera has learned, trained, taught, and assisted in BFHI, gave and took part in many courses, trips, and lectures. She has also participated in government assessment and launched programs and committees that focus on breastfeeding education and equity. In her retirement, she still has a strong passion for assessment, specifically for mothers, families, and other teaching activities.
Lived Experience After her personal experience, she felt the need to dedicate her career to educating and training others. She did seven years of observing infant seminars via the Esther Bick's and Tavistock Clinic method.
