Linda serves as an equity coach and coalition member focusing on community engagement from an equity lens. She provides services to the Midwest region through online and in-person formats.
Education & Credentials Linda has been trained and coached in community engagement principles of the International Association for Public Participation. She has engaged in numerous equity trainings through Boulder County Public Health.
Work Highlights She has worked with governing bodies of an organization, individuals who oversee operations of teams, individuals in a formal leadership role, and local coalition members. She has served and partnered with various populations, including Asian or Asian American (including Hmong individuals), Hispanic or LatinX, and White/Caucasian.
Professional Summary As a white cisgender female, Linda uses her white privilege to create platforms, structures, and megaphones for BIPOC and gender non-conforming persons to lead equity work. She is well-versed in community engagement techniques and enjoys coaching emerging leaders in ways to use these techniques in the area of DEI. Some of her recent involvement includes the formation of the Hmong Breastfeeding Coalition in Minnesota and leading a team of diverse lactation leaders to deliver a series of TA sessions for all types of breastfeeding coalitions through USBC. She has also worked with white coalition leadership teams to understand and focus their privilege to build new and inclusive leadership systems.
